I learned how to tenderly hold myself as a sensual and sexual being, and to reclaim my power. This process inspired me to continue healing, confronting and uprooting sexual shame in my life, especially through my art.

The experience opened my eyes to how individual healing of sexual/sensual trauma is a catalyst for communal healing: when an individual begins to heal and share their sensuality, it inspires and allows others to do so as well.

Audrey has created a space for womxn to find both individual and communal healing through confronting shame, individualism/competition, and problematic/limited ideologies of sexy/erotic, by working through the lens of pleasure, consent and boundary setting.

Audre Lorde speaks to how individual sensual healing is tied to communal healing in a much more poignant way, “For not only do we touch our most profoundly creative source, but we do that which is female and self-affirming in the face of a racist, patriarchal, and anti-erotic society.”
